Installing Dial-Up Networking

This page is designed to help users install Dial-Up Networking for their froggy.net.au Internet connection. Only use this page if you do not have Dial-Up Networking installed on yourcomputer.

Start by Double clicking on the icon marked 'My Computer' on the desktop.
Next, Double click on the icon marked 'Control Panel'.
You will see the 'Control Panel' appear on your monitor, you will need to find the icon marked 'Add/Remove Programs' and Double Click on it.
You will now see the 'Add/Remove Programs Properties' screen appear, click on the 'Windows Setup' tab on the top of the window, then you need to find 'Communications' and Double click on it.
You will now see a window that looks like the one below, if you do not have a tick next to 'Dial-Up Networking' you will need to click on the small square to the left of 'Dial-Up Networking', after doing this a tick should appear, once you see this you can use your mouse to click on the button marked 'Ok' and then Click on 'Ok' again.
Windows95 will now prompt you to restart you computer before changes will take effect, you will need to restart your computer to make sure 'Dial-Up Networking' is properly installed, once the computer has restarted, you may continue setting up your computer to access the Internet by clicking here for Windows 95 or here for Windows 98.
